Ministry of Culture wants to achieve peace between two unions of writers

In his opinion, as BelaPAN reports, there is an opportunity to make peace between the two creative organizations. He claims that this opportunity is mutual celebration of the 130th anniversary of the Belarusian classics Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas, which is to be held this year.

Let us remind you, there are two unions of writers in the country at the moment - the Union of Writers of Belarus, headed by Mikalaj Charhinets and loyal to the authorities, and the alternative Union of Belarusian Writers, headed by Barys Pyatrovich.
