Poland's MFA prepares statement on Seym members, not admitted to Belarus

This has been informed by Poland's Embassy to Belarus.

22.02.2012 11:08

According to the diplomats' words reported by BelaPAN, the Embassy will not comment on this fact.

Let us remind you, six members of the Seym commission for relations with Poles abroad were going to Hrodna of February 21. They planned to meet with representatives of the Union of Poles, unrecognized by the authorities. The Seym members were not allowed to enter the country at the border-crossing point "Bruzgi" without explanation of the reasons, despite they had their diplomatic passports with them.

Representative of the MFA's press-center Marya Vanshyna called the visit of the Polish deputies a conspirative one. In her opinion, they should have obtained an invitation from the Belarusian MPs first.
