18-year-old soldier dies in bootcamp unit near Barysau
The Investigatory Committee is conducting an inquest into the death of a Belarus army private in a unit near Barysau.
The young man died on September at the Armed Forces Joint Training Center near Barysau.
According to media reports, the State Committee for Coroner's Expertise is carrying out a post-mortem examination to identify the cause of the death. All the medical data, including the medical check-up sheets from the military enlistmnent office, are retrieved by investigators.
TUT.BY reports the soldier is named as Uladzislau Yahadkin. Unofficial reports suggest the preliminary diagnosis is hypertensive crisis wuth pulmonary edema. The soldier's parents reportedly said their son had complained about high blood pressure.
