20 days in punishment cell for Belarus political prisoner
Political prisoner Aliaksandr Franckevic is serving 20 days in a punishment cell in Ivacevicy colony
The mother of the political prisoner, Tacciana Franckevic told Radio Svaboda that her son is holding on well, his health condition normal. She does not know exactly why her son was punished. Mrs Franckevic only assumes that Aliaksandr may be under pressure to write an appeal for clemency.
Aliaksandr Franckevich was sentenced to 3 years in prison in the so called "case of anarchists." He is scheduled to walk free in the fall of 2013.
