Shoppers from Belarus spent at least 1 billion zlotys in Poland, according to Tax Free data from 2014.
Podlaskie region Customs Service summed up its work in 2014, reports polsha24.com. According to the director of the Customs Chamber in Bialystok, Miroslaw Sienkiewicz, based on the TaxFree documents, the citizens of Belarus left in Poland 1 billion zlotys. In total, according to the Podlaskie customs, there were more than 1,230,000 TaxFree documents registered.
Sienkiewicz said that in comparison with 2013, the number of tourists from Belarus decreased by 3%.
