GomelGlass employee’s widow to get $100 thousand
It is not clear whether Homelshklo is able to pay the whole sum now.
A tragedy occurred at GomelGlass in November 2013. A worker died under a pile of splinters there. His wife, an employee of the same plant, tried to receive the one-time material assistance according to the collective contract. She had the right to receive her husband’s 10 annual wages.
However, the woman managed to prove her right for the money only in court. Her husband’s annual wage totalled more than Br114 million in October 2012 – October 2013. It means that the woman had the right to get over Br1 billion 140 million.
However, GomelGlass was announced the most unprofitable Belarusian corporation in the first half of 2014. The enterprise lost over Br169 billion. It is not clear whether the enterprise is able to find another $100 thousand now, Belaruski Chas reports.
