List of Russian companies to be affected by EU sanctions
They are expected to come into force on Tuesday, September 9 as soon as they are officially published by the European Union.
The sanctions are the response of the united Europe to Russia’s actions in Ukraine. The EU has reacted to the bringing of Russian troops to the Ukrainian territory this time.
A number of Russian oil and defence companies will be affected by the new EU sanctions, The Wall Street Journal reports:
Rosneft, Gazpromneft, Transneft, Oboronprom, United Aircraft Building Corporation and Uralvagonzavod.
The companies will not be able to receive credits for more than 30 days in the Western banks, the edition refers to its own sources. No official information has been presented yet.
The western countries will also be forbidden to import some Russian companies’ products – Sirius, Stankoinstrument and Kalashnikov.
Russia is getting ready for more ‘anti-sanctions’ too. Moscow is threatening to restrict western airlines’ flights over the Russian territory, BBC reports.
