Major works at Belarus nuclear station construction site to start in Nov
The head of Belarus nuclear power plant construction Yury Pustavy construction is within the schedule.
"Russin partners reckon that the construction rate is satisfactory. We are not behind the schedule. The major works will begin in November,” Mr Pustavy said during an online news conference at the state news agency Belta.
“Highly qualified construction organizations are involved in the work,” he added.
The Russian project NPP-2006 was chosen for the Belarusian NPP in Astravets, Hrodna Province. Water-moderated water-cooled power reactor-1200 will be used there. The first unit of the NPP will be launched in November 2018, the second one – in July 2020.
