Photos of Maidan snipers published in US (photo)
The pictures could be taken near the building of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) in Kiev in the morning of February 20.
The collection of photos showing snipers’ photos was published by the American edition The Daily Beast. Many of the snipers were from the special SBU unit Alfa. SBU representatives used to refute that Alfa members had shot at people.
The photos show strangers preparing to head for their positions. They were armed with sniper rifles, modified Kalashnikov rifles and fragmentation grenades. Many of them were wearing white and yellow identification bands and balaclavas.
The shooting of peaceful protesters in Kiev in February ‘was ordered by the pro-Russia Yanukovich regime’, the American edition concludes.
Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov is going to make a report on the investigation of the mass murders on April 3.
