Wooden idol delivered to special research room
It spent almost a week in the lobby of the Institute of History.
The Rasony idol that spent almost a week in the lobby of the institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has finally been delivered to a special room. It will be studied there now, said a researcher of the pre-industrial society research centre, Volha Lyauko, to Euroradio: “You can come and check – it is gone”.
According to Volha Lyauko, conservation specialists will start working with the idol after August 20. At the same time, scientists will define the age of the oak. Then archeologists will study the territory near the place the idol was found in.
