‘Russian semi-colonel’ in Gorlovka turns out to be ex-convict
The 'Lt Col from Russia' who put himself in charge of Ukrainian police unit in Gorlovka is identified by a local resident as a former convict.
Separatists captured a police station in Gorlovka on Monday. A man in camouflage who introduced himself as a Russian semi-colonel from Simferopol and ‘presented’ a new police chief has turned out to be a local criminal called Bezler.
The false semi-colonel of the Russian Army used to run the funeral services firm Prostor in Gorlovka. He was fired for having stolen 38 fences and monuments as well as for practicing extortion for places at the cemetery in 2012, UNIAN reports.
