The IT market in Belarus continues to shrink and breaks new anti-records, devby.io reports. In December, 3,648 active IT vacancies were opened in Belarus - this is the lowest figure in the history of observations.  A month earlier, in November, there were 15% more open vacancies. The media outlet notes that December (holidays) is not the best time for hiring, but the decrease is noticeable compared to December 2022 (minus almost 100 vacancies).

There are also fewer active companies that are hiring - down 14% compared to November and down 4% compared to last December. In total, there were 1,681 of them. But the media notes that these statistics include not only IT vacancies, but also proposals close to IT, such as SEO, SMM, cartridge refillers. That is, "the negative dynamics characterizes not only/not so much the IT market, but the market of office vacancies in Belarus as a whole," the media writes.

The situation in the Hi-Tech Park is also deplorable. In December there were only 736 active vacancies (minus 13% compared to November and minus 15% compared to the "off" December 2022).  There were only 192 active companies in the HTP in December, which is almost a quarter less than a year ago.
