Pavel Sevyarynets urges to release Andrei Haidukou

KGB claimed that Haidukou "had been collecting and distributing political and economic information for foreign intelligence". He is in KGB prison now. Andrei Haidukou is facing from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Political prisoner Pavel Sevyarynets serving his sentence in a penal labour camp in Pruzhany District now does not trust the official explanation. He has told Euroradio about it:

"The vague story of this detention makes you ask: why was guy detained secretly, why was the information presented only after it had been covered by mass media and what are they doing now, what are they keeping him in jail for? The detention "at the moment of creation of a mail drop" is absurd. Every member of the special services knows that it is necessary to wait for the person who needs the hidden information before datelining them both."

Andrei Hauidukou's civil and political activities and his participation in the boycott campaign make in his favour, Pavel Sevyarynets says. The political prisoner has demanded to release the activist and " to present a clear explanation of his guilt".
