Detention of journalists in Belarus
Two Brest policemen have visited Yauhen Skrabets’ flat today. He will have to come to the police station tomorrow.
A group of journalists that planned to cover a protest action near the Russian embassy in Minsk was briefly detained in Belarus capital.
It happened during the dispersal of the local Maidan.
The incident occurred at Minsk railways station on November 19.
The check up has been caused by the events of October 19, 2013.
Independent journalists Alyaksandr Barazenka and Maria Artsybashava were detained on Tuesday near the Pershamaiskaya metro station in Minsk.
The journalist was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment with a 2-year respite in 2011.
Cameraman Vasil Siamashka was detained at 1630 near Kastrychnitski police station in Minsk when on editorial assignment.
