16:43 Russia ready to participate in the construction of Belarusian nuclear power plant
Russia is ready to participate in the construction of a nuclear power plant in Belarus. The Russian ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov informed about it while answering the question of a BelTA reporter.
According to the ambassador, Russia is capable of participation in project creation, production and assemblage of equipment including the nuclear reactor. Furthermore, Russia is ready to give Belarus a credit.
The construction of the plant will be conducted by Belarusians. Alexander Surikov noted that they had a lot of experience in that field. At the moment cooperation between Belarusian and Russian atomic scientists is limited to cooperation between scientific research institutes.
