Activist gets $500 fine for photos
A court in Belarus has penalized Nastassia Mashchava from Young Belarus youth pressure group with a $500 fine for taking pictures during a performance action near Belarus department store on December 2 in Minsk. She was told in court that she had no right to take photos without accreditation.
On December 2, activists from Young Belarus installed a stand, depicting a man with moustache and a slogan: "You Don't Like The Regime? Throw at Me. A box with eggs was placed nearby. Several people threw eggs at the stand before the police intervened.
Yahor Babrou and Pavel Prakapovich were sentenced to 15 days of arrest, while Andrei Kuzminski received 7 days of arrest for taking part in the performance.
