Advertising market in Belarus to decrease by 26 percent
Businesses in Belarus will have reduced their expenditures on advertising by 26 percent from $116.1 million down to $84.4 million, with the press and outdoor ads companies hit the most, according to a report released by ZenithOptimedia published on Belarus Partisan. Web-based resources will be affected the least by losing just 9.5 percent of orders from advertisers. TV advertising in Belarus will have dropped by 25 percent only to confirm a general decline in 2009.
The printed media will lose 30 percent of advertising revenues. Outdoor ads will decrease by 34.8 percent, according to the report.
The advertising market is expected to return to the pre-crisis level only in 2011.
