BCD: The party has almost no chance to be registered
The steering committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy will gather in the Tractor Plant Palace of Culture on June 13.
The steering committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy is planning to conduct a meeting on June 13. The Christian democrats signed a rent agreement with the administration of the building on June 10.
About 200 delegates and the same number of guests are expected. The issues of the future presidential election campaign will be discussed. Documents needed for the registration of the party will be sent to the Ministry of Justice again.
BCD steering committee secretary Dzyanis Sadouski told Euroradio:
“There will be up to 200 delegates. We are expecting 300-500 people. There is almost no chance to be registered as a party .However, we need to conduct the meeting to take decisions as regards the presidential election campaign. We will do everything we can to be registered.”
The delegates will also discuss the presidential candidates that Christian democrats could support at the presidential elections. There will be no BCD candidates, they claimed earlier. Vital Rymasheuski was the BCD candidate at the previous presidential election.
