Belarus is 104th in “happiness rating” leaving behind USA and Russia
Belarus has taken the 104th position in the rating “Happy Planet” in 2009. It has been prepared by a British private fund New Economics. There are 143 countries in the rating. 99% of the Earth population lives there. The countries were assessed with the help of a 100-point scale in three categories: life interval, satisfaction with life and ecology.
It has turned out that the happiest people live in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Guatemala and Vietnam. Dutchmen are the happiest Europeans. It is worth mentioning that Belarus, being in the 104th position, is ahead of Russia and the USA by a few points.
A Russian edition “Vedomosti” notes that the most unfortunate people live in Zimbabwe.
