Belarus cuts off several Russian TV channels

Cosmos-TV, a major cable TV operator, has confirmed to the European Radio for Belarus, that the Ministry of Information has ordered to cut off the broadcasts of several Russian television channels. Cosmos-TV: “We have received an official document from the information ministry that several Russian channels -- Channel 1World, NTV-MIR, TVC, REN-TV and some others -- will be cut off in Belarus due to the changes in the license procedures for foreign electronic media”.

However, the information ministry has declined a comment on the situation.
