Belarus drops foreign debt by $23.5mn
The foreign debt of Belarus amounted to $2 billion 313.2 million as of July 1, 2008 or $23.5 million less on the same period last year, according to the statistics released by the finance ministry.
The loans, borrowed by the Belarusian government, amounted to $1 billion 996.4 million in early July 2008 against $2 billion 25.7 million as of January 1, 2008.
The government has set a limit of foreign debt at $6 billion by the end of 2008.
