Belarus expects $500mn loan installment from Russia in May
Belarus expects to receive the remaining installment of $500 million from Russia in May. National Bank Chairman Piotr Prakapovich said relevant adjustments in the Russian budget for 2009 were made.
The official news agency Belta reminds that under the bilateral deal Russia agreed to issue a $2 billion loan to Belarus in 2008-2009. The first installment of $1 billion was wired to Belarus on November 18, 2008. The second installment of $500 million arrived in March 2009.
Russia gave this loan for 15 years on LIBOR+3% p.a. conditions.
