Belarus' foreign ministry describes relations with EU as renaissance
The renaissance has come in the relations between Belarus and the European Union, said Uladzimir Skvartsou, the head of the foreign political analysis department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, when addressing the plenary session of the 12th Minsk Forum.
"Belarus is interested in the European Union from the point of view of additional impulses of modernization in the economic field in the first place. In return, Belarus plays a very important role for the EU as a transit corridor and a guarantor of stability", Skvartsou said. He added that Belarus would focus on the regional cooperation in the framework of the Eastern Partnership project, reports BELTA news agency.
