Belarus national hockey team to start World Championhip-2010 with match against Kazakhstan
The International Hockey Federation has published the schedule of the World Championshiop-2010 that will take place in Germany from May 7 till May 23. Belarus national team will play in group A during the preliminary stage.
BelTA informs that Belarusians’ rivals will be Russia, Slovakia and Kazakhstan. The starting match against Kazakstan will be played on May 9.
Belarus national team will compete with Slovakia on May 11 and with Russians – on May 13. Belarusians will play matches of the preliminary stage in Cologne. By the way, Russia was 1st, Belarus – 8th and Slovakia – 10th at the last world championship. Kazakhstan will return to the elite division after a three-year break.
The world championship will begin with the match USA-Germany. The match for the third place and the final will take place in Cologne on May 23.
