Belarus, Ukraine to prepare joint projects for Eastern Partnership
Belarus and Ukraine have been developing joint projects in the framework of the Eastern Partnership program and plan to submit their applications together, Ukraine's president Victor Yushchenko said after meeting Alexander Lukashenka in Ivano-Frankovsk.
According to Yushchenko, the European Commission supports this idea. Yushchenko noted that "Belarus and Ukraine will act together in the system of the Eastern Partnership program.
Border control and customs officials from the two countries are soon to hold consultations to develop further actions to improve border controls and the operation of the customs.
Summing up on the results of the Belarusian-Ukrainian talks, Yushchenko stressed that "all the problems have been resolved". In the first place, he explained that the talks focused on the border between Ukraine and Belarus.
