Belarusfilm studio seeks to sue Russia over copyrights

Belarus' state-owned film studio Belarusfilm is to file a lawsuit with Moscow Arbitration Court, seeking to protect its rights on Belarusfilm-made flicks of the Soviet times. There are almost 600 flims in the Russian archives, including 170 at the State TV and Radio Fund of the Russian Federation), that are assets of the Republic of Belarus, the press office of the studio told the Interfax news agency.


Belarus' culture minister officials earlier demanded that Russian collegues return the films to Belarus.
