Belarusian jury at Eurovision: We should send Kirchyk next year
A member of the national Eurovision jury Syarhei Malinouski has expressed his opinion about the Belarusian performance at the contest in an interview with ERB.
According to the editor-in-chief of “Antenna” newspaper, regional patriotism is to blame for it:
Syarhei Malinouski: “Unfortunately, we have been unlucky this time as there were a lot of Scandinavian and Balkan states. I think we have not made it because of it. They gave better points to each other without paying attention to the fact that some performances were really poor”.
The musical critic thinks that the best candidate for next year’s Eurovision will be Ivan Kirchuk:
Syarhei Malinouski: “Having watched the semi-finals, I am absolutely sure that we should send Ivan Kirchuk to the next contest. He will stand out of the singing “band”. I am sure, they will remember him”.
