Belarusian Kiryl Silivonchuk not amnestied in Russia

Kiryl Silivonchyk imprisoned in Russia has not been affected by the amnesty dated for the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day, his mother Natallya told Radio Liberty.
Kiryl phoned her the other day and said that he was waiting to be transferred to colony from Nizhniy Novgorod. The family are not going to ask to reconsider the verdict because they are afraid of a stricter sentence, the woman said.
Moscow Circuit Court sentenced Belarusian programmer Kiryl Silivonchuk, 22, to two years in colony. The young man came to Nizhniy Novgorod from Homel Province to make money.
He was accused of Public justification of terrorism or Public appeals for terrorism. The reason for it was a message or a re-post on VKontakte that contained appeals to take revenge on Russians for the war in Ukraine.
