Brest SPs are planning to hold a rally in the city on March 4. There entrepreneurs want to take a stand for the abolition of Presidential Edicts No 222 and 48. They are preparing to file the relevant documents with the city executive committee.
The news came from the regular meeting of Brest entrepreneurs. It took place on February 17 at a local market near the Central Department Store.
This will be the second SP's attempt to hold a street rally. After all, the city authorities did not allow to hold a rally, scheduled for February 19. Euroradio learned it from the businessman Andrei Karnyaichuk, one of the applicants of the rally:
Karnyaichuk: "We are not allowed to hold, because at the time of application for holding mass rally there were no contracts with ambulance and community services. When asked, why I was not given an opportunity to sign blank forms right there, the ideology department of the Brest City Executive Committee did not answer."
According to Karneichuk, SPs want in the near future to hold a meeting with the deputies of the City Council. They want to get a report from the deputies about what they had made for the development of small business in Brest.
