BT and ONT to share Belarusian part of “Eurovision”
The press secretary of ONT Alina Pravatorava has told ERB about the possibility of such cooperation of the two channels:
Pravatorava: “We can sign an agreement. It means we will act like contractors. Our TV channel may become a producer centre dealing with selection and preparation of songs. The Belarusian State Broadcasting Company will broadcast “Eurovision”.
Let us remind you that it was deicided to charge the ONT channel with selection of contenders after Belarus’ failure at “Eurovision” last year. However, the channel had to join the European Broadcasting Union to do it. The decision about the channel’s membership in the union was postponed for six months at the beginning of December. Meanwhile, the First Channel has applied for conducting the selection tour.
