Cardinal Bertone: Pope Benedict XVI is very satisfied with Lukashenka meeting
Pope Benedict XVI was very satisfied with his conversation with Alexander Lukashenka in Rome, Vatican's State Secretary Tarcisio Bertone said in a statement.
"Your President was very well prepared for the meeting, having learned and understood Pope's way thinking. He held discussions on various topics, including the problem of relations between the religious faith and sense, between science and faith.
They had an interesting conversation, and Alexander Lukashenka made it to understand that he appreciates very much the position of Benedict XVI", Cardinal noted.
"I think that fact of this meeting has made Belarus even closer with the Catholic Church", he added.
