“Legal” journalist are often complaining about the activities of journalists working for Internet resources, deputy Minister of Information Pavel Lyohki explained the changes to the Law on Mass Media. The official made the statement in an interview with Narodnaya Volya.

"For instance, journalists working in the same legal sphere as Narodnaya Volya are often complaining to the Ministry of Information. This is unfair competition, they believe. Their competitors are not mass media but they work like mass media in a different legal sphere and have different responsibilities,” the deputy Minister said.

There were many complaints of the kind, Lyohki said. Also, many owners of Internet resources wanted to be officially registered. “They will have this opportunity now. It is not obligatory. We just want to create general rules for all mass media. Is there anything bad about it?” the official noted.
