Doctors in Minsk tell parents to keep children at home
Alena Fisenka, an epidemology doctor at the Minsk Municipal Hygiene and Epidemology Center, recommended in an interview with the European Radio for Belarus that parents should not allow their children to visit schools. She said a flu epidemic broke out in the Belarusian capital, forcing healthcare authorities to respond with anti-epidemic measures.
Alena Fisenka: “Beginning from November 2, we have detected a higher number of cases than normal. We recommend to extent holidays for schoolchildren”.
From November 6, all schools in the city will have to report attendance data to the epidemology centers.
