Education minister sees no future for European Humanities University in Belarus
Belarus' Education Minister Aliaksandr Radzkow does not see it reasonable for the European Humanities University (EHU) to return to Minsk from Lithuania.
At the same time, he noted that the ministry had not received any application from the university. Radzkow said Belarus has enough universities that train young professionals. He also pointed to "serious problems with the funding at EHU", reports Interfax.
The Ministry of Education annulled the license of the university in 2004 when it had almost 1000 students. The university had to move to Vilnius, Lithuania where it currently operates.
