European Union condemns murder of Chechen human rights activist Nataliya Esmiterova

The European Union has condemned the murder of a Chechen human rights activist, employee of the centre “Memorial” Nataliya Esmiterova in Ingushetia and has urged to subject the murderers to responsibility. Carl Bildt, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden now presiding in the EU, has claimed it.
Let us remind you that the body of Esmiterova was found in Ingushetia on July 15, several hours after she had been abducted by strangers in Grozny. Investigators do not exclude that the murder may be connected with the activist’s professional activities.

The administration of the US President Barrack Obama has also condemned the murder of Esmiterova, reports BelaPAN.
