Frontier guards switch to medium security in connection with Ukrainian epidemic

Belarusian frontier guards have switched to medium security in connection with the swine flu epidemic in Ukraine. The press secretary of the Border Committee Alyaksandr Tsishchanka has informed ERB about it:
“The situation has been confirmed and additional orders to take additional control measures have been sent to check-points: check facilities for reacting to events in various conditions”.

Alyaksandr Tsіshchanka noted that the main task is to enhance the control over people crossing the border especially if they look ill.

At the same time he stressed that the control had already been good even before the epidemic in Ukraine.
