Instructor from elite Russian FSB centre killed in Donetsk (photo)
Sergey Zhdanovich was one of the most experienced fighters among Donetsk ‘citizen soldiers’.
He was killed when Ukrainian troops were ‘cleaning up’ the building of the airport on May 26, Russian magazine Spetsnaz reports. Zhdanovich was an Afghan and Chechen veteran. He served as an instructor in the elite Social Centre the Russian FSB. Sergey Zhdanovich came to Rostov-on-Don on May 19 and crossed the Ukrainian border illegally.
The instructor’s friends have also reported his death in social networks. Zhdanovich, like Muscovite Igor Strelkov-Girkin (leader of Sloviansk ‘citizen soldiers’), was engaged in ‘military patriotic games’.
