Kastusyou: Victar Lukashenka may replace Leanid Maltsau
One of Belarusian Popular Front leaders comments on the resignation of Leanid Maltsau as State Secretary of the Security Council.
64-year-old Leanid Maltsau became the head of the State Border Committee on November 2. He used to be the state secretary of the Security Council since the end of 2009.
“The position has been freed for Alyaksandr Lukashenka’ elder son Victar ,” Ryhor Kastusyou reckons. According to Kastusyou, “Victar Lukashenka’s people are in charge of all the power structures” at the moment and his people are also in charge of numerous ministries. “He will get a lot of support if he is appointed to the position,” Ryhor Kastusyou told Euroradio.
Victar Lukashenka (in the photo) is the President’s aide for national security and a member of the Security Council. He will turn 38 on November 28.
