Kirienko: Funding for Belarus nuclear plant is not clear
An agreement on the construction of the first Belarusian nuclear power plant may be signed during the visit of Russian PM Vladimir Putin in Minsk, Rosatom's chief Sergei Kirienko said in a statement.
The nuclear station will have two Russia-built reactors, 1000 mW strong. But the issue of funding for this construction project remains unclear, Kirienko noted.
The project is preliminary valued at Euro 4 billion. But serious political and economic consultations are needed to go forward with the project.
