Ladutska: veterans may not need flats in a few years

Minsk City Executive Committee is planning to provide all invalids and participants of the Great Patriotic War with flats if they need them. The acting head of Minsk City Executive Committee Mikalai Ladutska has claimed it. BelTA notes that there are about 600 veterans queuing for flats in the capital, 250 of them are building theirs now. To solve the problem quicker, the city authorities have decided to allocate additional flats to them.

"Unfortunately, veterans keep passing away. The queue is becoming shorter and shorter as many of them are over 80. If we wait for a few more years, they may not need the flats. That is why it is necessary to solve the problem now, next year”, - said Mikalai Ladutska.
