Leaders of opposition blocs appoint meeting for end of November
A meeting of representatives of several political opposition blocs will take place in Minsk at the end of November. The decision has been taken by the administration of the United Democratic Forces and the European Coalition. They have offered participation in the meeting to the recently created Belarusian Independent Bloc. The leader of the European Coalition Mikola Statkevich has informed BelaPAN that they are planning to consider such issues as international activities and participation in local and presidential elections.
"We should create a common forum where we could discuss our cooperation for the sake fo democracy”, - said Statkevich. However, he admitted that the UDF were not ready for “such a common forum”. At the same time, he supported the idea of conducting the meeting.
