Liberal arts chairs closed in regional universities to save money

The culturology chair of Brest University has been closed.
The head of the former chair Uladzimir Lyukevich has informed ERB: “We defended two doctoral theses and eight Ph.D. theses in the past decade. We used to organize two scientific conferences a year”.

The chairs of philosophy and culturology have been combined in Brest Technical University. Culturology chairs in other regional universities have been changed to regional studies. Culturology chairs have been preserved only in Minsk universities.
