Malady Front activist Artsiom Dubski transferred to pretrial detention in Babruisk
Malady Front activist Artsiom Dubski has been transferred to a pretrial detention facility in Babruisk, a duty police officer at the Asipovichy District Police Department, where Dubski had been held earlier, told his friends.
Dubski will remain at the pretrial detention until his appeal is considered and the verdict comes into force.
Artsiom Dubski was sentenced on July 7 by the Asipovichy District Court to one year in prison for evading the earlier conviction -- restricted freedom.
In April 2008, Dubski was sentenced to two years in prison for taking part in the protest action staged by entrepreneurs. In the fall of 2008, he asked for political asulym in Ukraine but later recalled his application and returned to Belarus where he was detained, reminds Belapan.
