No budget deficit in 2009
The Belarusian president has issued a decree, setting budget deficit limitation for 2009 at the amount of 0,0 thousand rubels. It means that the amounts of revenues and exenditures are set as equal, reports the Belapan news agency, quoting the press office of the head of the state.
It is worth noting that the budget draft for 2009 earlier envisaged 54,9 trillion in revenues and 57.7 trillion in expenditures. The deficit was planned at the amount of Br2.8 trillion or 1.8 percent of the gross domestic product.
The deficit was expected to be financed at the cost of internal sources at the amount of 2.4 trillion and external sources at the amount of 0,4 trillion rubels.
