Opposition activist killed in Maryina Horka

A member of the BNF Party Valyantsin Dounar died in Maryina Horka hospital (Minsk Province) on November 26. He had not even turned 50. His fellow party member Ales Vaskovich has informed nn.by that Dounar was attacked by strangers in the street at about 10 p.m. on November 20. They hit him on the head with metallic rods. Valyantsin was delivered to the resuscitation unit but doctors did not manage to save him.

Valyantsin Dounar was a famous distributor of the independent press in Maryina Horka.

The police have started a criminal case in connection with the murder but nobody has been arrested yet.
