Parliament passes bill to boost small-size businesses
The House of Representatives, the lower chamber of the National Assembly of Belarus, has passed in the first reading a draft bill on supporting the small and medium-size entrepreneurs. Belarus' economy minister Mikalai Zaichanka said the document "is political in some sense", because it proves that the state looks at the small and medium-size businesses as a priority sector of the country's economy, reports Belapan.
The issue of the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independant nations was not included in the parliament's session agenda. Lawmakers will return to their duties on November 25 after a break, reports Radio Svaboda.
