Parliamentary election taking place in Azerbaijan

Parliamentary election is taking place in Azerbaijan despite the protests of the opposition leaders who claim many candidates presenting the opposition movements were not accepted for registration. According to the OSCE statement, Azerbaijani authorities were "too strict" in their demands that all the tiniest formalities of the electoral legislation should be fulfilled. More than 400 OSCE observers are present at the election. Azerbaijani Central Elections Commission assured all the measures for granting of transparent voting had been taken, reports ВВС.
