Picket in support of democracy in Belarus takes place in Stockholm

Swedish MPs and represenatives of the human rights organization Östgruppen held speeches. Östgruppen leader Martin Ugla stated in his speech that the organization actively supported people in Belarus who struggled for democracy and for the right of the Belarusian people to elect their political representatives at free elections.

The participants of the action wore Santa Klaus costumes and had their mouths glued by sticky tape. This is how they wanted to symbolize pressure on the freedom of word in Belarus, reports Radio Liberty.
