Polish frontier guards bust record-breaking cigarettes contraband from Belarus
Polish frontier guards detained huge consignments of contraband cigarettes from Belarus last week. The first lot found on July 4 set a record – 70 boxes contained 367 thousand packs of cigarettes (7 430 000 cigarettes). They cost about 4.8 million zlotys (over a million dollars).
It is the biggest illegal consignment of cigarettes revealed on a train in Terespol this year, rp.pl reports.
Another illegal consignment of cigarettes was detained in Terespol on Thursday and 60 thousand packs of contraband cigarettes were found on the freight train Brest- Kobylany on July 7.
