Political prisoner Artsiom Dubski stops hunger strike
Youth Front activist Artsiom Dubski has ended a hunger strike against his treatment by the officers at a pretrial detention facility in Babruisk. He told his mother that he was treated much better, reports Radio Svaboda. On July 7, Artsiom was sentcend to one year in prison for violating the punishment procedures in the "case of 14".
On July 17, the staff of the pretrial detention demanded that Artsiom write an application, requesting to transfer him to a correctional facility. After he refused, he was denied medical assistance. His personal belongings were removed and he was placed in a worse cell. Artsiom Dubski went on a hunger strike in protest against those actions.
